The Adda is entirely hidden. A culverted river that pulses through Bangor, it lies just below everyday consciousness, running under the skin of the city mostly unnoticed. When it surfaces, it's as a vague memory, a threat of flooding, a hiss under the pavement, a crack in the wall, a rumour.
